Welcome to the Studio of Rob Hartshorn

Portrait Painter and Artist

Rob Hartshorn  is a master portrait artist and an award winning painter of luminous figures.  A fourth generation artist and teacher, he is nationally recognized for his commissioned portraits of prominent men, women, children and families in oil and pastel.

Abstract Artist

When its time to loosen up and feel the paint, Rob turns to the freedom of acrylic paints. With acrylic paints and gel mediums, colors dry faster which offers the artist more spontaneity and the pure expression of abstract painting. This “being-in-the-moment” is a release from the technical demands of oil painting, and the abstract beauty of swinging away from realism is its own reward.

Robert Hartshorn Portraits & Fine Arts Moved in 2021 to Historic Belgian Village near University Circle
I have moved my studio and gallery from 2360 W. 11th Street by Lincoln Park in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland.                                                                                                                My new expanded portrait studio is located in Historic Belgian Village located above the the museum area of University Circle. The new setting is better suited to meetings with my portrait artist clients, is more comfortable and convenient for portrait sittings and is an enchanting venue for hosting unveilings of works of art. And it is a gift to be just minutes from the arts, cultural and educational center of the Midwest.                                                            Please visit my studio by appointment at 12415 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44120.
